DocAir

DocAir is an engineering-driven restoration and environmental services company based in Nashville, Tennessee, serving homeowners, property managers, real estate professionals, and commercial clients throughout Middle Tennessee. Founded in 2002 by Barry C. Westbrook, DocAir focuses on identifying the underlying causes of building problems and recommending solutions supported by scientific testing and diagnostic evidence.

The company provides a comprehensive range of services designed to improve indoor air quality, manage moisture, address environmental concerns, and support healthier, more efficient buildings. Its services include indoor air quality testing and evaluation, mold inspection and remediation, radon testing and mitigation, crawl space encapsulation, moisture control, stormwater management, thermal imaging, blower door testing, duct diagnostics, and weatherization. DocAir also offers environmental consulting, industrial hygiene services, commercial indoor air quality assessments, HVAC-related services, and technical support for building owners and property professionals.

A key part of DocAir's approach is its commitment to diagnosing problems before recommending repairs. Its “Science Before Sales” philosophy emphasizes evaluating a building's condition, identifying contributing factors, and developing a suitable plan based on the findings. The company uses diagnostic tools such as infrared thermography, moisture meters, air sampling, and pressure testing to investigate building performance and environmental concerns.

DocAir also provides remediation and verification services to help clients understand whether identified problems have been addressed. For mold remediation projects, the company describes a process that includes assessment, containment, removal of affected materials when necessary, structural drying, and post-remediation testing. Its radon mitigation and crawl space services focus on managing environmental conditions that can affect indoor spaces and building performance.

With more than two decades of experience in the Nashville area, DocAir works with clients seeking practical, evidence-based solutions for residential and commercial properties. Its emphasis on technical evaluation, clear recommendations, and documented results makes it a resource for people dealing with air quality concerns, mold, radon, moisture intrusion, and other building-related challenges.
