I got the leg and thigh feed with fried okra, collard greens, candied yams, and a portion of cake. I'm from Mississippi, and the last place I've had soul food this nice was at my grandma's house. The guy at the counter was thoughtful, the food was incredible and I can't rate it high enough. Thanks, L and G southern soul food staff.
When we walked in, we were welcomed by the owner (Ron). Ron was nice and approachable. He received our orders and within 15 minutes our food was prepared. He also expanded cornbread to our order (which he didn't have to do). Overall the restaurant was healthy and the customer service was grade A. If you're in the region and you have a taste for soul food, I would suggest you go to L and G Southern Soul Food services.
Delicious food! The potato salad, whiting, and salmon were very nice. The mac and cheese are homemade and baked. The cornbread is soft but that's just how I like it! The green beans were very bland. My rating is 4 stars but giving 5 to equalize those 1-star reviews
Great variation of Southern delicacy food here at L and G southern soul food in New Castle. I'm such a big fan of their seafood mixture platters, cheesy flavorful mac and cheese, and not to mention their sweet and yummy.
