LSNWJ - Legal Services of Northwest Jersey

Legal Services of Northwest Jersey (LSNWJ) is a non-profit organization that provides free legal assistance to low-income individuals and families in northwestern New Jersey. Our services include advice and counsel, representation in court, and community education on a range of legal issues, including housing, government benefits, family law, and immigration.

In 2003, four unconventional legal services offices in five counties combined to form one zonal Legal Services of Northwest Jersey. The program is good from the knowledge, expertise, and team of the local program. We direct cases for clients. Legal services of northwest jersey aim to achieve the client’s goal in this case.

Sometimes a single client’s case can help many other people with a similar legal problem. In some cases clients are appealed to higher courts, and the law is changed as a result.

Lsnwj Legal Services of Northwest Jersey

Autonomy Law

Our work is to improve the autonomy of our customers by attending to them in scheduling for their future and defending their freedoms and interests.

Consumer Law

Customers are people who purchase things or services for themselves and their families, use credit cards or loans, use private bank accounts, and owe individual income tax. We may instruct, deal with or represent clients on certain issues.

Family Law

The level of assistance delivered for all family law cases ranges from guidance to document preparation and in-court representation, in the different types of matters. 

Housing Law

We may suggest, arrange for or represent tenants in these types of issues and related matters: eviction; section 8 and different rent subsidies; conditions problems; lease problems; and security deposit.

Public Entitlements

We assist people with government-provided entitlements to fulfil requirements. Apply for legal services if your advantages have been rejected, decreased, or terminated. If you have been subject to an over payment, apply to LSNWJ.
