Stay away from this company!! After purchasing a brand new AC unit from Protocool, the unit failed after only 2.5 years and they did not honor their proposal. I don't believe any of these five-star reviews because the firm is unprofessional and unscrupulous.

Zero Star Rating: I contacted A1 for a simple fan replacement in my unit, but my experience was nothing short of dreadful. The individual I spoke to at the call center had a terrible attitude and displayed poor customer service skills. When the technicians finally arrived, I was greeted by a nervous trainee. They informed me that they had to order the fan and wait for it to arrive. Strangely, everything was functioning fine before they replaced the fan. Once the fan was in their possession, they sent a different technician to complete the job. After he finished, the air conditioner only worked for 10 minutes before he left. To make a long story short, they not only made me spend money on a fan but also caused damage to my motor. It felt like a scam, and overall, my experience with them was absolutely horrible.

Throughout their stay, they demonstrated a clear focus on financial gain, showing little genuine concern for our needs or circumstances as homeowners. They even attempted to persuade our house sitter to purchase a new unit or recommended a service costing a staggering $775. Initially, we expected a routine inspection for $95, but the final bill ended up being $320, with no noticeable improvement in the AC unit's performance. On Friday, they arrived to address the problematic issue, charging a flat fee of $135 just for their visit, in addition to the repair costs. However, two days later, the air conditioning system malfunctioned once more, and curiously, they now identified a clogged drainage system, a problem they had missed during their initial visit. They returned to address the issue, imposing an additional $135 charge for the second visit. Furthermore, they declined to provide any warranty for their service, citing the possibility of the drainage system becoming obstructed overnight due to "external factors."

They impose a $95 diagnostic fee, which is reasonable; after all, I understand that nobody works for free. Typically, most companies would apply this fee towards the repair, but Protocol does things differently. While I may not necessarily like their approach, I can understand it. I reached out to them regarding an issue, and a technician came promptly to diagnose the problem. I agreed to their recommended fixes. However, a few days later, the same problem resurfaced, and they insisted on charging another diagnostic fee for a follow-up visit. In my experience, reputable companies I've dealt with in the past have always stood by their work and did not charge for revisits related to the same issue. If you're comfortable with spending money without questioning it, Protocol might be the right company for you.

For the past 13 years, I've relied on Protocool Air Conditioning in Weston. Customer service is the greatest I've ever had from an at-home service provider. They also take their business to a personal level, since the entire crew is quite pleasant to work with.

They arrived out to difficulty and proceeded threw a textbook list to see what was unfair omitting what I told them was wrong. They departed and the unit was conditioned to leak. They came out too and did the exact thing they did the first time. They demanded we pay for 2 maintenance calls even though the unit was still under guarantee and I did not phone for service I called because it was broken. They told me there was a remembrance on my unit and would order the fresh part. 10 weeks with a leaky broke system proceeded by and less than a year since I had paid $5000 for it.

My Ac ceased working Monday morning, phoned protocol right away, and they came by the exact day in the afternoon to inspect what was wrong and realized it was the motor, they came by Tuesday with the new motor and established it. The restoration itself took no longer than 10min. Ac working incredible once again.

I required coil cleaning on an Air handler, they arrived and washed the coils and when I inspected the coils were still dirty, I called them and they told me they were washed as best as possible. My unit never shifted from 78 degrees and we could not rest at night. I called Sears and asked them to come in and they took the coils out and tidied up, I now can sleep at night. I believe Protocol cooling did not clean the coils and Sears confirm this.

He fast determined the difficulty and repaired it fast! Even those in the office over-the-phone calls were so useful and kind. To add, they take their business to a a private level as the whole team is very pleasant and great to work with. They go above and beyond when essential.

We selected them because they were on Angie's Index. They welded the evaporator unit wrongly, so all the gas leaked out. I reached home from the hospital and saw that the house was hot. I phoned them and they said they would have to charge additional because it was late in the day. The repairman ensured that it was their defect. He didn't pay us for the supplies, but we were charged $50 for him to come out.

They have outstanding customer service from both the office and the service guy. They are very familiar with their profession. We have had no difficulties with the installation of a fresh AC unit.
